Kid-friendly snacks are the focus of this basic food preparation series for children ages 5-8 (or any child just beginning to make snacks for themselves). Presented by OSU Extension of Pickaway County, it is free to attend, but advance registration is REQUIRED. Reservations can be made online or by calling 740-477-1644. Kids will learn food/kitchen safety lessons as well as nutrition info and recipes. Parents/guardians are encouraged to stay in the class during class time. THIS IS THE FIRST OF THREE in a series. The classes in this series are July 10, July 17 and July 24.

The third Thursday is movie day at the Main Library. The 6PM movie is targeted toward families and features newly released DVDs. Popcorn and lemonade are provided, and outside refreshments are welcome.
The 1PM matinee is targeted toward adults and will feature just-out-on-DVD feature films as well as classics. Suggestions for future titles are welcome. Popcorn and lemonade are provided, and outside refreshments are welcome.
