What is observational drawing?  Observational drawing is using a live model or a still life set up for drawing a picture.  In our program today, you will have a live bearded dragon or an axolotl as your subject matter.  Once you have sketched your picture you will then have a variety of mediums to choose from to bring your drawing to life.  Join Viserion the bearded dragon and Mookie the axolotl for this unforgettable art experience.

If you've been to Pumpkin Show, you've probably seen the Pumpkin Man skating through the crowds and waving from the parades. The Pumpkin Show icon himself will be at the library - in full costume! - to talk about what it takes to be the Pumpkin Man, share some of his favorite memories, and have his photo taken with YOU!

Local resident Kelly O'Dell ran 135 miles in less than 48 hours through Death Valley to Mt. Whitney, California. The Badwater 135 is an invitation-only race for 100 runners that starts at the lowest elevation in North America and finishes at the trailhead to Mt. Whitney summit, the highest point in the contiguous United States.
