Friday In The Park - Underwater Archeology

This event will take place at Mary Virginia Crites-Hannan Park, 1230 Pontius Road, Circleville.

Have you ever wondered how archeologists find and explore shipwrecks? Join us as Linda Pansing, the curator of archeology at the Ohio History Connection, discusses Ohio underwater wrecks. We will have scuba gear and underwater survey tools for observation to show how they are used on active shipwreck sites. In addition, there will be on-site and take-home activities.

Adult Craft - Paper Quilling

Quilling is the art of rolled, shaped, and glued paper that results in creating a unified, decorative design. The name quilling is believed to come from the origin of the art; birds' feathers, or quills, were used to coil the strips of paper around.

The third Thursday is movie day at the Main Library. The 1PM matinee is targeted toward adults and will feature just-out-on-DVD feature films as well as classics. Suggestions for future titles are welcome. Popcorn and lemonade are provided, and outside refreshments are welcome.
