What is Suminagashi?  It is an ancient technique used by the Japanese to create beautiful artwork.  You will create your own design first in water using ink, then add your paper to absorb the design.  Allow to dry and you have a masterpiece worthy of framing!

If you are in grades 1-5, want to have some fun, learn a little, and meet some new people -- Kids Club is the place for you!   If there is a 5th Thursday in the month, for Kid's Club we will play games from our board game collection or bring your favorite game from home to play with friends. Do you ever wonder just what type of insects are out at night and that are attracted to light?  For Kid's Club we will solve this question by making bug observatory trap.  All supplies are provided.

Celebrate Women's History Month by discovering the stories of real women who were the primary lightkeepers for Great Lakes lighthouses. Historian Patricia Majher, author of Ladies of the Lights: Michigan Women in the U.S. Lighthouse Service, will present this live virtual program at the library.
