August 2019 Newsletter Additional Digital Audiobooks Available Pickaway County Library has added over 30,000 eaudiobooks to its available collection, with no holds and no wait lists. The RBdigital platform is available now via the library’s website or your device’s app store. Users can create an account for the new service with a library card number and an email address. Account settings allow users to select genres or areas of interest to filter content while browsing. Audiobooks check out for 21 days, after which the audiobook will be automatically returned. Content available through RBdigital includes titles from authors like CJ Box, Craig Johnson and many others. Pickaway County Library’s eaudiobook collection is purchased through the Digital Downloads consortium, which includes public libraries throughout central Ohio. Digital Downloads eaudiobook circulation increased 30 percent in 2018 and continues to rise. A complete list of digital collections available to Pickaway County Library patrons can be found at . Back-To-School Supply List: Library Card A Pickaway County Library card can be used 24/7 to do research using online databases. Online databases are written by experts, reviewed by other experts and allow for very specific searches so you won’t be distracted. Information can be verified because databases are for long- term information and won’t change based on a whim or an advertisement. Databases from PCL include American & English Literature, Explora, Points of View, Science Reference Center, World Book and more.
