The Pickaway County District Public Library Board of Trustees has hired David Fausnaugh as library director.
Fausnaugh is a native of Fremont and has worked for Bexley Public Library for 11 years. He started his library career as a part-time page while earning his degree in integrated social studies at Capital University.
He worked his way up the library ladder, working in circulation and technical services, while earning his Masters of Library and Information Science from Kent State. Most recently, he served as Bexley’s director of support services for four years, overseeing areas such as collection development, information technology, circulation, facilities and technical services.
“I’m excited to come into such a welcoming community and work with a strong library staff,” Fausnaugh states. In his free time, he enjoys golf and basketball.
Fausnaugh replaces retiring director Jim Guenther who worked in Pickaway County for 17 of his 39 years in library service.
